Er.Harinder Singh Brar, Chairman, PSEB informed that with a view to encourage more and more developers of power plants from Renewable energy sources,  Board has signed another Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) today with M/s. Enterprise Business Solutions, , USA for purchase of power from 5 MW Solar Photovoltaic Power Project being set up in Vill. Sahiba, Tehsil Balachour, Distt. Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Punjab.  





The Project was allocated by Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) on 14.07.2009 and Implementation Agreement was signed with PEDA on 20.10.2009. The Expected Date of Commissioning of the Project is January, 2010. The plant is being set up under NRSE Policy-2006 of Government of Punjab.  





This is fourth Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant being set up and is the biggest one in its class in Punjab.  Earlier Power Purchase Agreement was signed with M/s Azure Power which is setting up 2MW Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant in Tehsil Ajnala District Amritsar and is likely to be commissioned in November this year. Another Power Purchase Agreement was signed with M/s Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited for 1MW Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant in District Mohali. One no. Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant of 200KW capacity has already been commissioned in Khatkar Kalan. 





The PPA has been signed by Er. G. S. Sra, Member/Generation on behalf of  PSEB and Sh.Jassie Singh, President & C.E.O. on behalf of M/s. Enterprise Business Solutions, Jalandhar in the   presence of Er. V. K. Singal,  CE/Hydel Projects and Er. Arun Gupta, Director/Investment Promotion Cell, PSEB.
