SALIENT FEATURES OF VDS FOR DS/NRS

Ø The Scheme is open up to 31.3.2004 to regularize the extension in load of DS/NRS consumers

Ø The computation of the total load for DS/NRS consumer shall be done as follows and the consumer shall be required to fill Application & Agreement form for the total load:-

Description	Domestic	NRS	Remarks
Light Point	60 Watts each(1/2 of total No.of light points to be taken into account)	80 Watts each	Fraction of light points under DS category to be taken as one point.
Fan Points	80 Watts each	100 Watts each
Wall sockets	60 Watts each (1/4 of total No.of sockets to be taken into account).	80 Watts each (1/3^rd)of total No.of sockets to be taken into account).	Fraction of socket points to be taken as one socket.
Power sockets	1000 watts each (1/3^rd of total No.of sockets to be taken into account)	2000 watts each(1/2 of total No.of sockets to betaken into account).	Fraction of socket to be taken as one socket.

The test report shall be prepared by JE/Incharge for the total load and the same shall be kept in the consumer file. No test report shall be required to be furnished by the consumer.

Additional load as declared by the consumer shall be deemed to have been regularized from the date of submission of A&A forms and deposit of ACD and Service Connection Charges at the rates given in preceding paras.

Ø The total load(including unauthorized extension) shall be governed for the purpose of regulating service connection charges in the specific slabs, but the actual charges are to be recovered for the unauthorized load only.

Ø Augmentation of service line/transformer and the power system including change of meter etc. shall be done by the Board at its own cost.

Ø The existing consumers already having separate connections in the same premises shall be eligible to get extensions.

Ø Regularisation of load under this scheme shall be done without recovering any load surcharge.
